Join Virtual Eastern Bay Villages

Ours is a membership-based organisation not a social service. This is how we support one another in our communities.

Being a member gives everyone a sense of belonging. It costs only $20 a year so it is affordable for all.

Members: can be of any age. We know the value of younger people in the lives of seniors/kaumātua, so we encourage people of any age to join and use their skills and time to improve the lives of older people.

All members are reference and police checked to ensure the safety of vulnerable people they support.

Volunteer Your Time

This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause.
We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved.
This is an easy and efficient way of contributing to the great work we do at Virtual Eastern Bay Villages / Te Kokoru Manaakitanga. Get in touch with any questions about how you can volunteer your time.

Make a Donation

We do keep our annual fee affordable at $20 a year however if you can afford to and would like to give more as a donation we do appreciate this. Contributions of $5 or more are tax-deductible and will be receipted. Up to 33% of your gift may be claimed back as a tax rebate through the Inland Revenue Department.

There are 3 ways to do this:

1. One off or regular monthly donations to our account.

2. A donation to the fund set up in our name by the Eastern Bay Community Foundation. The Foundation invests funds for local community groups, ensuring they accrue to become a viable long term fund to make community groups sustainable. Once $50,000 has been donated there we will begin to benefit. Details are at Eastern Bay Villages Endowment Fund (easternbaycommunityfoundation.nz)

3. Leave a legacy gift in your will, either directly to us or through the Community Foundation
